Two Girls and the Mediterranean
Blanca and Ana
More than 20 years ago, two girls living by the Mediterranean spent their afternoons cycling with the sound of the waves as their soundtrack. (We're not going to lie: that song "Vamos juntos hasta Italia" was also blasting on our Nokia 350, because even back then we already felt a certain nostalgia for our parents' era and for classics like Hombres G).
A monitor, a sailboat, and lots of "stuff"
That's how we met Diego
Our parents had the wonderful idea of signing us up for sailing lessons at the Oliva Nautical Club. There we met Diego, our instructor. And we're not going to lie to you either: there were more days when we ended up punished for being little "rascals" than those when we managed to win with a strategic maneuver that didn't involve sinking the boat and playing Pirates of the Caribbean.
An idea that changed everything
First +1
Life went on. Those girls grew up.
And when Alejandra was born, the first "+1" of the group, we wanted to give her a very special gift. We have always felt a deep connection with the classic, the good things in life, that which reminds us who we are and where we come from.
Then we remembered Diego and an idea emerged: to commission a personalized, hand-painted chair from him. With Diego, everything was easy. He knows us well, so we gave him complete creative freedom.
Without realizing it, the first piece was born.
And also the seed of Trasto.
To keep
Trasto is born
When we saw the result, we understood that it could go far beyond a gift. We discovered that there were hardly any personalized, hand-painted children's furniture with that level of detail and emotional content.
Each piece could be unique.
Each creation could tell a story.
Each piece of furniture could become a real part of a family's life.
In a world where everything is fast and ephemeral, Trasto is committed to what endures.
We create furniture that accompanies childhood and can be passed down from generation to generation. Can you imagine inheriting your grandmother's chair? Or keeping a piece that grows in emotional value over time?
Trasto is not just children's decor.
It's craftsmanship.
It's memory.
It's connection.
It's handmade, authentic, and enduring.

Royal craftsmanship
Each piece is hand-painted in Spain by artists who work with calm and precision.
No two are exactly alike.
Designs that tell stories
Each chair is born from a small creative universe: the sea, the circus, the garden, dinosaurs, or space.
Small worlds that accompany children's imagination.
Pieces for life
We believe in objects that stay in the family.
Furniture that is passed down through generations and holds memories over time.
